부모의 긍정적 양육 태도와 청소년의 학업열의 간 관계에서 그릿과 창의적 성향의 매개효과 분석

Abstract

이 연구의 목적은 부모의 긍정적 양육 태도, 청소년의 학업열의, 그릿과 창의적 성향 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 학업열의에대한 부모의 긍정적 양육태도, 그릿 및 창의적 성향의 예측력을 확인하는 데 있다. 나아가 부모의 긍정적 양육태도와학업열의 관계에서 그릿과 창의적 성향의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동·청소년패널조사 2018 중학생패널 3차 연도에 참여한 2,384명의 응답 자료를 SPSS 25.0과 M plus 8.2를 사용하여 상관관계 및 구조 모형을 확인하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 부모의 긍정적 양육 태도, 학업열의, 그릿 및 창의적 성향 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 정적 상관이있는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 그릿은 부모의 긍정적 양육 태도와 청소년의 학업열의 관계를 매개하는 반면, 창의적성향의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 또한 부모의 긍정적 양육 태도와 학업열의 관계에서 그릿과 창의적 성향을거치는 순차 매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구의 결과는 학업열의에 대한 부모의 긍정적 양육태도, 그릿 및 창의적 성향의 긍정적 영향력을 확인하고, 특히 그릿과 창의적 성향의 매개변인으로서의 중요성을 실증함으로청소년 학업열의의 증진을 위한 설명 기제를 확장했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 이를 토대로 교육학적 시사점과 제언을제시하였다.

This study aimed to examine the relationship between positive parenting, adolescents’ academic engagement, grit, and creative personality. In addition, it sought to confirm the mediating effects of grit and creative personality in the relationship between positive parenting and academic engagement among adolescents. To this end, 2,384 middle school students’ data sets from the third wave of the 2018 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey were analyzed using correlation analysis and the structural equation model, for which SPSS 25.0 and Mplus 8.2 were employed. The results are as follows. First, positive parenting, academic engagement, grit, and creative personality were significantly and positively correlated. Second, while grit mediated the relationship between positive parenting and academic engagement, the mediating effect of creative personality was not significant. In addition, the sequential mediating effect through grit and creative personality was found to be significant in the relationship between positive parenting and academic engagement. These results are meaningful in that they confirm that positive parenting, grit, and creative personality have important influences on academic engagement. Specifically, it expands the explanatory mechanism to improve adolescents’ academic engagement by proving that grit and creative personality are key components. Based on this, the educational implications for adolescents were discussed
