Abstract
본 연구의 목적은 특성화고 졸업생의 대학 진학에 영향을 미치는 변인은 무엇인지 탐색하고 그 특성에 대해 분석하는 것이다. 대학 진학 여부 및 진학 관련 변인은 한국교육고용패널Ⅱ을 활용하여 살펴보았으며, 분석대상은 특성화고 졸업생 1,141명이었다. 분석 변인은 선행연구를 바탕으로 고등학교 생활, 진로교육 및 활동 경험, 취업지도, 사교육 및 방과후 학교, 현장 체험 및 현장실습, 가정생활, 보호자의 교육배경 및 경제활동 상태, 여가생활, 진로계획 및 직업의식 등 대학 진학과 관련된 변인으로 설정하였으며, 분석방법으로 Elastic Net을 적용하여 54개의 변인을 도출하였다. 분석결과, 개인 영역의 경우, 거주지역 규모, 가정의 경제적 형편/성격/외모/신체에 대한 고민 걱정, 여가시간 활동 등 총 14개 변수가 선택되었다. 가구 영역은 부모(보호자)와의 활동, 남성보호자의 최종학력, 한 달 용돈 등 총 6개의 변수가 선택되었다. 학교 및 진로 영역은 고등학교 생활 만족도, 진로교육 및 활동 경험, 취업 지도, 사교육 및 방과 후 학교, 유급노동 여부, 희망 교육수준 등 34개의 변수가 선택되었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 특성화고의 진로지도 및 향후 방향성 설정에 대한 방안을 제시하였다.
This study aims to explore the determinants that affect the college admissions of graduates of vocational high schools and analyze their characteristics. The factors affecting whether or not to go to college were examined using the Korea Education and Employment Panel Ⅱ(KEEPⅡ) data. The analysis was conducted targeting 1,141 vocational high school graduates. Analysis variables based on prior research were high school life, career education and activity experience, employment guidance, private education, and after-school school, field experience and field practice, family life, parent's educational background, economic activity status, downtime life, career plan, and occupation. When Elastic Net was applied, 54 variables were chosen and found to be suitable. Consequently, the analysis results showed that in the case of the individual area, 14 variables were selected, including the size of the residential area, family economic condition and personality, worries about appearance/physical concerns, and downtime time activities. For the family area, a total of six variables were selected, including activities with the parents(guardians), the male guardian's final educational background, and monthly allowance. School and career areas include high school life satisfaction, career education, and activity experience, employment guidance, private tutoring, paid work experience, and desired education level were selected for 34 variables. Based on the results of this study, a plan for career guidance and future direction setting for vocational high schools was suggested.
