Abstract

The main goal of my dissertation research is to understand the theo- retical structure and propensity of ballet lecture performance. I inves- tigated anchoring effect and its relationship with ballet lecture performance. As a material of the analysis, Ballet Evolved series, which consists of 15 chapters, was selected because of its unique display of con- temporary changes in the history. The main cause of anchoring effect was language. Because of its role in building the relationship with audience via language, anchoring effect is critical in ballet lecture. The analysis in Ballet Lecture performance showed that while anchoring effect could de- fine propensity of contemporary dance.
