부모의 스마트폰 의존이 청소년의 스마트폰 의존에 미치는 영향: 부정적 양육태도와 학업무기력의 이중매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 부모의 스마트폰 의존이 청소년의 스마트폰 의존에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 이 경로에서 부정적 양육태도와 학업무기력의 이중매개를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구가설 검증을 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에서 실시한 한국아동․청소년패널조사 2018 제1차(2018년)와 제2차(2019년) 데이터에 응답한 부모 2364명, 청소년 2364명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 구조방정식모형을 통해 분석한 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 스마트폰 의존은 청소년의 스마트폰 의존에 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 부모의 스마트폰 의존은 부정적 양육태도를 매개로 청소년의 스마트폰 의존에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부정적 양육태도와 학업무기력은 부모의 스마트폰 의존이 청소년의 스마트폰 의존에 미치는 영향에서 이중매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 청소년의 스마트폰 의존에 대처하기 위한 실천적 방안에 대하여 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of parents’ dependence on smartphones on adolescents’ dependence on smartphones, and to verify the dual mediating effect of negative parenting attitudes and lethargy on schoolwork in this route. To verify the hypothesis of the study, 2 ,366 parents and 2,366 adolescents who responded to the data of the first (2018) and second (2019) data of Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 conducted by National Youth Policy Institute were analyzed. The main results analyzed through the structural equation model are as follows. Parents’ dependence on smartphones has a statically significant effect on adolescents’ dependence on smartphones. Second, parents’ dependence on smartphones is found to affect adolescents’ dependence on smartphones through negative parenting attitudes. Third, negative parenting attitude and lethargy in studying show a double mediating effect in the effect of parents’ dependence on smartphones on adolescents’ dependence on smartphones. Based on the results of this study, practical measures to deal with adolescents’ dependence on smartphones are discussed.
