무용예술, 어떻게 포스트휴먼을 선회할 것인가?

Abstract

이 연구는 포스트휴먼에 관한 철학적 논의로서 기술의 진보에 의해 달라질 무용예술에 대한 전망을 생태주의적 관점에서 조명, 기계-인간 간의 존재론적 의미와 미적가능성을 탐문해 보는데 목적이 있다. Braidotti와 Deleuze의 ‘되기’의 윤리는 포스트휴먼이 강조하는 ‘탈-인간중심주의’를 무용의 관점에서 접근해 볼 수 있는 방법론적해석서가 되었다. 먼저Ⅱ장에서는 생태적 포스트 휴먼이 지향하는 기계와의 관계양식, 뉴미디어(유튜브)와 구독문화에 따른 무용 환경 변화에 대해 기술되었다. 여기서의 쟁점은 기계-인간 간의 생태적 공존이며 무용과 뉴미디어의 특성을 중심으로 달라진 무용 환경에 대해 논증해 보았다. Ⅲ장에서는 포스트휴먼 관점에서 무용 테크놀로지(Dance Technology)를 ‘되기의 윤리’라는 논제를 통해 접근해 보았다. 본 장에서의 핵심은 ‘인간중심주의’를 벗어나 기계와의 병합, 상호연결, 상호매개자로서의 구조적 개방이다. Ⅳ에서는 포스트휴먼시대 무용 아우라에 대한 철학적 논증이 이루어졌다. 포스트휴먼과 무용예술에 대한 철학적 접근은 “인공지능이 과연 예술주체가 될수 있을까?”라는 멀지 않은 질문에 대한 인문학적 접근이라는 점에서 유의미한 연구가 될 수 있을 것이다.

This study is a philosophical discussion on posthuman and aims to shed light on the art of dance that would differ by technological improvements from an ecological perspective and explore the existential meanings and aesthetic possibilities between machines and humans. Braidotti and Deleuze’s Ethics of ‘Becoming’ was a guide to a methodological interpretation, which allowed an approach to ‘post-anthropocentricism’ emphasized by posthuman from a perspective of dance. First, Chapter Ⅱ described the style of relationships with machines aimed by ecological posthuman and changes in the dance environment according to the new media (e.g. YouTube) and the culture of subscription. Here, the issue is the ecological coexistence of machines and humans, and this chapter demonstrated the changed dance environment, focusing on the characteristics of dance and the new media. Chapter Ⅲ approached dance technology through the topic for discussion, ‘Ethics of becoming’ from the posthuman perspective. The core of this chapter is merger with machines breaking away from ‘anthropocentricism,’ interconnection, and structural openness as a mediator. Chapter Ⅳ conducted philosophical demonstration for the aura of dance in the era of posthuman. Philosophical approaches to posthuman and art of dance can be significant research in that they are humanistic approaches to the not-so-distant question, “artificial intelligence can be a subject of arts?”
