- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the tendency and type of eating attitude that body shape, weight control, a problem connected with food in Young WomenS to provide that the scientific data about eating habit.160 Young Womens(random cluster sampling) were participated in this study. The eating attitude factors including fear for weight gain, consideration of body image, method of diet, symptom of anorexia nervosa, symptom of bulimia nervosa, refuse of meals, self-esteem by limiting meal, balance of meals were observed by eating attitude test(Grafinkel & Garner, 1979).Statistical analysis in frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis(varimix), one-way analysis of variance, multiple range test(scheff test)were performed by using SPSS(Ver 12.0) windows.There were eating attitude by body mass index, in regard of weight was proven to have significantly difference(p<.05).In conclusion, though the influence of eating attitude affected was not remarkable and body mass index is normal in Young Womens, tendency of eating disorder could have effects upon Young Women‘s health.Therefore, it is necessary to establish a countermeasure that educates them through straight information and knowledge on desirable weight-control and an attitude for well-balanced diet.
