21세기 인재육성과 교육심리학의 과제: 지적능력

Abstract

우리가 살고 있는 시대는 정보화시대라 일컬어지고 있다. 교육은 시간 차원과 더불어 논의되고 교육 패러다임은 변하고 있다. 정보화 시대는 21세기에 전개될 사회에 알맞은 인간상을 만들어가기 위한 사회경제학적 접근의 변화를 요구한다. 인간의 본성이나 역사발전의 법칙에 비추어 보아도 역시 동일한 결론에 도달할 것이다. 인간은 문화적 욕구의 변화에 맞는 교육방향의 전환을 필요로 한다. 이러한 사회에 주도되는 교육방향은 창의적이고 자율적인 인간상이다. 이를 위해서 첫째 창의력을 갖춘 인재를 길러내는 교육이 필요하다. 21세기가 지력 중심의 전문가 사회가 된다면 이 사화를 이끌어갈 능력을 갖춘 인재를 양성하는 것이 교육의 목표가 된다. 둘째, 사람의 역할이 획일화되지 않고 다양성이 요구되는 것이 다음 세기에 기대되는 인재의 역할 모습이다. 끝으로 이러한 정보산업 속에서 요구되는 교육은 바로 생산적인 지적능력을 요구하는 모형이다. 다시 말하면 능력 자체가 우리의 지적 능력의 판단 기준이 되는 시대의 도래를 의미한다. 이러한 상황에서 인간의 지적 능력이 요구되는 측면은 바로 창의적 사고력이다. 이같은 창의적 사고력은 인간의 발상이나 창조 충동을 통제하에서는 이루어지기 어렵다. 즉 표준화된 하드웨어 생산과는 달리 창의적 동기를 요구하기 때문이다. 이러한 시대에는 특히 탈 표준화가 요청되면서 동질화 보다 개성의 차이를 존중하는 교육이 이루어져야 한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the perspectives of intelligence and creativity for 21 century. Academically excellent students have a general intellectual power that makes them excellent in all school subjects. Rarely are excellent students across the board in academic domains, Rather gifts tend to be clearly defined and domain-specific. Uneven profiles are far more common than even ones, with most high-IQ children excelling more clearly in either mathematical or verbal strategies. The excellent children in any domain don't depend on howing a high IQ. Children can be extremely excellence in music or art without howing exceptional overall IQ. Extremely excellent students do not have interests in common with their peers, and they are considered odd by their classmates. They are extremely intense, they are introverted, and they like solitude. They also risk becoming arrogant and contemptuous of others, on the one hand, or underachievers lacking in self-esteem, on the other.
