- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to understand feature and pattern of leisure activities of salary workers working 5 days a week, to analyze the difference of job stress and satisfaction according to leisure activities, and to suggest types of leisure activities of salary workers to reduce job stress and to increase job satisfaction. In order to achieve the goal, 308 salary workers who works 5 days a week were surveyed with self administration method, and collected data were analyzed with SPSS(Windows Ver 12.0) and frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple response analysis, one way ANOVA, analysis of correlation, and analysis of multiple regression were performed. The results of this study are as following. First, the most favorite leisure activity by the salary workers is participation to sports activities, and viewing, Frequency to leisure activities is below 4 times a month, and 5~16 times a month in order of frequency. Span of time for leisure activities is below 1~3 hours, and above 3 hours in order of time. And period to leisure activities is above 5 years and below 1~5 years in order of period. Second, the purpose of leisure activities of the salary workers is health care, improvement, and relief of stress and way of information collection is internet and word of mouth in higher order. The expenditure for leisure activities per month is 100,000~90,000 Won and 10,000~0,000 Won in higher oder. Third, the difference of job stress according to leisure activities was analyzed by one-way ANOVA and this showed that there is significant difference by relation with superiors, incentive & favor, and responsibility and authority. For detail, in case of relation with superiors, The job stress of salary workers enjoying hobby activities is significantly lower than the others. And incase of incentive and favor, the job stress of salary workers enjoying pleasure is the lowest. And in case of responsibility and authority, the job stress of salary workers enjoying hobby activities is the lowest. Forth, analysis of correlation was analyzed to confirm the correlation between factors of job satisfaction and job stress. And the results showed that all the factors of job stress were negatively correlated with job satisfaction. And analysis of multiple regression was performed to analyze the effect of factors job stress to job satisfaction, and the results showed that relation with superiors and incentive & favor has the significant effect to job satisfaction.
