상담자 자기성찰 집단상담 참여 이후 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

Abstract

목적 본 연구는 상담자 자기성찰 집단상담 참여 이후 경험 이야기를 통해 그 경험이 연구참여자의 삶과 상담장면에 준 변화와 그것의 의미를 깊이 있게 탐색하고 이해하고자 한다. 방법 이를 위하여 상담자 자기성찰 집단상담에 참여한 2인을 선정하여 각 개인의 이야기화 된 경험(storied experience)을 Clandinin과 Connelly(2000)의 내러티브 탐구방법으로 분석하였다. 내러티브 탐구는 개인의 경험을 시간의 흐름(over time)과 상황(in context)에 대한 고려를 바탕으로 탐구하는 연구방법론이다(홍영숙, 2024). 결과 연구참여자들은 과거 원가족환경에서의 관계와 특정 사건이 현재 상담실에서 내담자들을 만날 때 영향을 주고 있음을 성찰하 고, 전문가로, 인간으로 성장하기 위한 배움을 이어나가고 있었다. 김지유는 약하고 우울한 엄마를 대신해 ‘타인을 돌보고 살리는’ 역할을 잘 해내며 살았다. 동시에 내면에서는 자유에 대한 갈망이 소용돌이 쳤다. 이러한 내적 역동은 외부 상황들과 엮이며 김지유 를 현재 배움의 공간으로 안내하였다. 이지혜는 원가족환경에서 남동생에 가려진채 관심 받지 못하고 독립적인 아이로 자랐다. 일 잘하는 사람으로 외부 환경에서 인정을 받으며 몰두하던 삶은 아이에게 영향을 주었고, 이를 통해 현재 일과 배움의 장까지 오게 된다. 두 사람 모두 과거 삶에서 고통스러운 사건을 경험할 때 외부 환경과 적극적으로 상호작용하였으며, 상담 교육을 접하게 된다. 그리고 이것이 자기 내면을 성찰하고 성장시키는 현재까지 이어졌음을 확인하였다. 참여자들은 집단과정에서 글 외의 신체 움직임, 이미지, 블록 등의 감각적인 도구를 활용할 때 보다 강렬한 경험을 하였으며, 자신이 깊이 체험한 도구들은 상담실에서 내담자에게 적용할 수 있었다. 결론 본 연구는 전문가로 발달해 가는 과정 중에 있는 두 명의 상담사의 집단상담 참여 경험 이야기를 통해, 상담자들이 현장에서 성찰을 이뤄내고 성장, 변화해가는 과정에 대한 이해를 확장할 수 있었다는 데 의의가 있다. 앞으로 교욱 참여자 자리에서 그 경험을 탐색하는 연구가 활발히 이어지기를 기대한다.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore and understand in-depth the changes that the experience has made in the lives and counseling scenes of the study participants through the stories of experiences after participating in the counselor's self-reflection group counseling. Methods To this end, two people who participated in the counselor's self-reflection group counseling were selected and the storied experience of each individual was analyzed by Clandinin and Connelly's (2000) narrative inquiry method. Narrative inquiry is a research methodology that explores individual experiences based on considerations of over time and context (Hong Young-sook, 2024). Results The study participants were continuing to learn to grow into an expert and human being by reflecting on the relationship in the past original family environment and that certain events have an effect on meeting clients in the current counseling room. Kim Ji-yu lived a good job of ‘taking care of and saving others’ on behalf of her weak and depressed mother. At the same time, inside, the desire for freedom swirled. This inner dynamic was intertwined with external situations and guided Kim Ji-yu to the current learning space. Lee Ji-hye grew up as an independent child, hidden by her younger brother in the original family environment. As a good worker, the life of being recognized by the external environment influenced the child, and through this, the present work and learning field was reached. When both experiencing painful events in life, they actively interacted with the external environment and encountered counseling education. And it was confirmed that this continued to the present where they reflected and grew their inner self. Participants had more intense experiences when using sensory tools such as body movements, images, and blocks other than text in the group process, and the tools they experienced deeply could be applied to clients in the counseling room. Conclusions This study is meaningful in that through the stories of the experiences of two counselors who are in the process of developing into experts, counselors were able to achieve reflection in the field and expand their understanding of the process of growth and change. In the future, it is expected that research to explore the experiences in the position of Gyowook participants will continue actively.
