- Abstract
- Two 3,4-seco-lupane triterpenoids, chiisanogenin and chiisanoside, were isolated from the leaves of Acanthopanax divaricatus var. albeofructus (Araliaceae). This is the first report of isolation of chiisanogenin from a natural source, although it has been obtained as an enzymatically hydrolyzed artifact of chiisanoside. Two lignoids, l-sesamin and l-savinin, were also obtained from the root bark of this plant.
