- Abstract
- We have measured the crystalline electric field (CEF) parameter B-2(0) from the temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibilities of Ho1-xDyxNi2B2C single crystals for H parallel to c and H perpendicular to c. The obtained CEF parameters were compared for each x with the magnitude of a broad maximum which deviated from Curie-Weiss behavior for H parallel to c, and the origin of the deviation from de-Gennes scaling in Te was examined as a function of the CEF effect.
