아동반 한글학교 교사의 민족 정체성 교육에 대한 실태 조사 연구 - 러시아, 우즈베키스탄, 카자흐스탄을 중심으로 -

Abstract

본고는 러시아, 우즈베키스탄, 카자흐스탄의 한글학교 교사들의 민 족 정체성 교육에 한 인식을 어떻게 하고 있는지 또한 실질적으로 교육 현장에서 어떻게 교육하고 있는지 등에 한 현황을 알아보기 위 한 실태 조사 연구이다. 아동을 상을 한국어문화 교육을 하고 있는 러시아, 우즈베키스탄, 카자흐스탄의 한글학교 교사 59명을 상으로 온라인 설문 조사를 시행하다. 온라인 설문 경험이 풍부한 전문 리 서치 업체를 통해 데이터를 수합한 후, 교차 분석을 시행하여 항목 간 의 상관관계를 통해 유의미하게 발견된 내용들은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 최상위 한국어 능숙도를 보유한 교사는 러시아와 카자흐스탄의 40 와 50 교사들로 나타났고 20와 30 교사로 내려가면서 한국어 능숙도는 전문 주제를 화할 수 있는 수준에서 사회적인 사건 등과 같은 친숙하지 않은 주제도 설명할 수 있는 수준 정도의 한국어 구사 도가 한 단계 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 고려인과 한민족을 연 결하는 요소로 1세와 2세 한국어 교사는 혈연을 꼽았으나 3세 와 4세로 내려가면서 한국 음식, 전통 문화, 한국어 등을 택하다. 셋째, 러시아권의 한글학교 교사는 정체성 형성을 위한 교육 내용을 가르치는 방법으로 현지 문화와의 차이를 존중하고, 내용 요소를 지식 으로서 가르치는 것에 해 긍적적인 태도를 보다. 넷째, 우즈베키 스탄의 한글학교 교사들은 본인의 한국어의 능숙도에 따라 교재를 바 라보는 시각도 다른 것으로 나타났고, 전통 문화 교육을 선정하는 기 준으로 주제 및 소재의 역사적 가치, 아동의 발달 수준 등을 기준으로 정하는 경향성이 높게 나타났다. 다섯째, 카자흐스탄의 한글학교 교사 들은 고려인이 한글학교에 가는 이유는 한국어를 알아야 하기 때문이 라는 당위성이 강했으며, 한민족을 연결하는 것은 혈연적인 요소라고 생각하는 응답 빈도가 높았다. 러시아와 우즈베키스탄, 카자흐스탄의 한글학교에서 고려인 아동을 상으로 한국어문화, 정체성 교육을 하고 있는 교사들에게 필요한 것은 성인이 아닌 아동을 위한 맞춤형의 체계적인 교육 과정을 제시해주고, 주제 및 소재의 역사적 가치가 있 어 가르쳐야만 하는 교육 내용 선별과 관련된 교육 자료를 보급해 주 는 것이 공통적으로 필요하다.

A research on Korean Saturday school teacher’s perception toward young heritage learner’s education for ethnic identity in Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. This study examined Korean Saturday school teachers’ cultural attitudes, ethnic identity issues, and expectation variables in Korean language education through Korean Saturday schools in Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Fifty nine Korean Saturday school teachers participated in this study. The survey questions were developed and distributed to Korean Saturday school teachers on-line. Research findings are stated below. First, Korean Saturday school teachers aged between 40 and 50 showed the highest level of Korean proficiency than younger teachers. Second, elderly immigrant Korean teachers selected kinship as the most powerful link between Korean diaspora and the Korean race, however, young immigrant Korean teachers selected different variables such as Korean food, traditional culture, and or Korean language, etc. Third, Russian immigrant Korean teachers taught Korean culture as the knowledge to study as a requirement in order to establish heritage identity. Uzbekistan immigrant Korean teachers decided on the teaching list of traditional Korean culture based on the value of historical meaning and the level of maturity of the children. Fourth, Kazakhstan immigrant Korean teachers thought that the Korean diaspora must learn Korean language because of kinship ties. This study suggests directions on which way to develop Korean Saturday school teaching materials and set curriculums for young heritage learners in Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan(SookMyung Women’s University).
