- Abstract
- 본 연구는 19세기 근대 한역어의 성립과 형성 과정을 밝히기 위한 연구의 일환으로 『士民必知』한문본에 나타나는 한역 표기와『ᄉᆞ민필지』한글본을 비교 분석한 것이다. 『士民必知』한문본에 출현하는 한역 표기는 서양 현지음에 대한 헐버트의 한글 표기를 역으로 한자어로 번역하는 과정을 거친 것이기 때문에 이를 통해 한국의 지식인들이 한자어를 조합하여 번역어를 만들어 내는 데 있어 어떠한 방법을 적용하고자 하였는지 근대 계몽기 근대적인 한자 번역어의 실태를 고찰하고 19세기 이후 한역 표기의 문제를 해명하고자 하였다.
