dc.description.abstractPurpose: This study investigated the antioxidant activities and anti-diabetic effects of the butanol fraction from Yangha. Methods: Yangha butanol fraction was measured for its antioxidant activity, hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress, and α-amylase inhibitory and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities. Results: The physiological activity of Yangha butanol fraction was measured, and the ABTS radical scavenging activity of IC50 was 39.49 μg/mL, which was higher than that of trolox. DPPH radical scavenging activity and SOD-like activity IC50 were measured to be 98.36 and 605.45 μg/mL, respectively. The α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitory activities IC50 of Yangha butanol fraction were 120.67 μg/mL and 232.54 μg/mL, respectively. Conclusion: These data results show that Yangha butanol fraction has antioxidant and antidiabetic activities and thus great potential as a natural source for human health.-
