- Abstract
- This study was to examine the effects of regular exercise on stress and self-efficacy of rural old ages. The subjects were 204 rural old people over 60 years old. The subjects were divided to 'exercise participation group' and 'not exercise participation group'. The measures were Stress Symptoms Inventory and self-efficacy Inventory. The researcher explained the purpose of this study and contents of the questionnaire, and asked subjects to answer the inventory. Data was analyzed through SPSS 12.0 Version. The level of significance was set up α=.05. 'Two way ANOVA with repeated measures on time' was performed to examine the effects of regular exercise on rural old ages. From the upper the procedure, the results were made as follow. 1. Regular physical exercise participation reduced stress level of rural old ages. 2. Regular physical exercise participation increased self-efficacy level of rural old ages.
