- Abstract
- 본 연구에서는 근대계몽기부터 일제강점기를 지나 해방 이후 미군정기를 거치면서 현재 7차 교육과정에 이르기까지 국어 교육 자료가 어떠한 변모 양상을 거쳐 왔는지 개념 변화와 성격 변화의 두 가지로 크게 나누어 살펴보았다. 개념 변화 측면에서는 근대계몽기-일제강점기에서 해방 이후로 넘어오면서 ‘독본’에서 ‘국어’로의 변화가 두드러졌으며, 미군정기-4차 교육과정에서 5차 교육과정으로 넘어오면서는 ‘교재’에서 ‘학습재’로의 변화가 두드러졌다. 성격 변화 측면에서는 우선 1) 목표 차원에서 계몽적 차원, 민족적 정체성 확립에서 개인 의사소통 능력의 신장으로의 변화, 2) 사용자 차원에서 교사 중심에서 학습자 중심으로의 변화, 3) 제재 선정 차원에서 읽기 자료 중심에서 통합적 자료 중심으로의 변화, 4) 내용 제시 차원에서 (1) 기술 중심에서 탐구 중심으로, (2) 원리 서술형에서 활동형으로, (3) 분리 제시형에서 통합 제시형으로, (4) 학습자 흥미를 고려한 쉼터의 활용으로 특징지어졌다.
