- Abstract
- This study was followed to understand management of dancing school and to examine
management and prospect of dancing school. Surveying ten dancing school managers in Seoul
and Gyeonggi-do who have managed dancing schools more than 5 years, we made clear what is
required for managing dancing schools and what main particulars is. This study established seven
primary factors of organization about dancing school management, through fulfilling the depths
analysis to the participant of the research, and analyzed how revealed the main subject in this
study. In result, we draw some of decision. First, motivation of dancing school management is
various and business funds was provided by parents. Second, raising members was carried out
with pamphlet, a banner, using vehicles ad, a morning[an evening] paper, a notice board in an
apartment, using local handbill, using an elevator, using a letter box in an apartment. When word
has been spreading, they used to make effort in easy stages. Third, the main source of income
is tuition fee also, dancing room rent fee, personal guidance fee, to make a work fee are very
useful. Expense items was payed by rent, payment for teacher, monthly rent(interest), payment
for driver, management expenses, using vehicles fee, operating expenses, electric charges,
several taxes, and etc. Forth, the teacher invitation in dancing school was carried out by
manager's personal networking, that way is safe, at this time, managers make an efforts through
friendship with good teachers, in order to have a confidence and trust each other. Fifth, an
educational program's principle subject is five up to middle, high school student, program was
classified according to level and subject, basis class, elementary class(for the major), elementary
class(for the hobby), middle class, high class(for the enter upon studies). An audit class was not
well run, it is good to graft with pilates or jazz dance. Finally, dancing school management needs
to be specialized unitedly and systematically by combining education and business mind and
grafting various genre like sports dance or yoga into dance. Therefore, the prospects of it is
said to be bright.
