궁중춤과 민속춤의 춤사위 비교 연구(II)상생상극 원리를 바탕으로-

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the Chumsawi of Royal Dance with that of Folk Dance by synergy and mutually destructive relationship of Yin Yang Five Elements. In this study, It is premised that Korean Dance, Chumsawi is based on the oriental ideology. The Chuyongmu and Bogsantalchum are representatives of this study.

As the result of this study, The Chumsawi of Folk Dance is composed of synergy relationship, the other side, the Chumsawi of Royal Dance is composed of mutually destructive relationship. So, the Chumsawi of Folk dance looks like more dynamic than that of Royal Dance. The reasons are as follows;

1. The system of principle movement with synergy relationship represented as follows. a) It represent a gradual moving line so that breathing is also gradually changed in several types. b) Every movement is intended toward same direction in space. c) The flow of movement is directed into Taekuek line.

2. The system of principle of movement with mutually destructive relationship represented as follows.

a) It seems a dynamic form of movement because the range of movement is large. b) It would not represents natural Taekuek line. The results also show that newly developed analysis methods can be applied to choreography
