- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to establish an effective system of principles based on Yin-Yang and Five Elements manifested in Korean traditional dance and to develop an educational program for Korean dance education. For doing this, this study was to investigated the following research problems: 1) A philosophical examination of the Principles of Yin-Yang and Five Elements, 2) An establishment of system of principles for Chumsawi in traditional Korean dance, and 3) Development of educational program for Korean dance education.
The four educational programs for Koreran dance education was proposed, as specific teaching plans, according to the above six results. In applying these palns, the undertstanding of flow for Yin-Yang, representing of movements, and creating movments and forms should considered as the methodological order.
In conclusion, this study which has tried as a dimension for articulating principle system of Korean dance education manifested as a experimental work for future development of Korean dance education.
