- Abstract
- 정부기관인 學部에 의하여 새로운 학교제도가 1895년 조선에 도입되면서 이를 위한 교과서들이 출판되었다. 이 논문은 學部에서 최초로 출판된 수학 교과서인 簡易四則問題集(1895), 近易算 術書(1895), 학부의 의뢰로 李相卨이 편찬한 算術新書(1900) 등 세 권을 조사하여 이들이 교과서의 역할과 함께 서양 수학이 조선에 들어오는 경로중의 하나를 이루 게 된 것을 밝혀낸다. 近易算術書와 算術新書는 20세기에 출판된 조선의 수학 교 과서들에 많은 영향을 주었다.
