- Abstract
- This study analyzes the relationship between lifestyle and cosmetic purchasing habits, and its effects on their skin. It also evaluates the consumer awareness of male cosmetic products. In modern days, men who spend more time and effort for better looks or appearances, so-called “ grooming tribe“ are getting more attentions. “Grooming “ is derived from the word grooming, which means to care for the appearance of or to make neat and trim, and it is a new word for the males who invest for fashion and beauty.
The images of males in modern days have been changing with social changes. The male cosmetics market, whose principal body is the male population, has been greatly affected by these changes, and therefore, it is laying an eye on the changes. Cosmetic markets have been changing its gear towards to male cosmetics from saturated women’s cosmetics. It is due to increase in sales of male cosmetic products as there’s been increase in sales of functional cosmetic products for men.
This study examines and evaluates the progress of male cosmetics market and has the purpose of providing (achieving) helpful resources for the growing male cosmetics markets through this study.
