Abstract
The purpose of this study was to validate the factor structure evaluation and item fitness by applying the Bifactor model and the Rasch model to the golf stress scale presented by Jung et al.(2015). Based on the transtheoretical model, a total of 452 data including 190 practice stage and 262 maintenance stage were analyzed. The analysis method was applied to the CFA model and Bifactor model using Amos 23.0 program and the Rasch RSM model was verified using jMetrik 4.03 program. The results of this study are as follows. First, the factor structure of the GSS scale based on the CFA model and the Bifactor model showed that the Bifactor model showed better fit than the CFA model. Particularly, G factor (ie, golf stress) showed statistically significant effect on all items, and variance was also significant. At this time, performance complaints did not function as domain specific factor. Second, as a result of examining the fitness of GSS items, the items of the practice stage were all appropriate, but the gsb15 items of the maintenance stage were found to be inadequate. Third, as a result of comparing the personal attribute score and the difficulty level of the items, the practice stage and the maintenance stage GSS items measure the stressors of the respondents. However, it was found that there were 6 items in the practice stage and 4 items in the maintenance stage that had a higher degree of difficulty than the personal attributes.
