인문학 소통을 위한 기호학적 접근

Abstract

인문학이 질문하고 모색하고 해결해야 할 과제들이 많은 가운데, 인문학이 그것을 감당할 만한 역량을 갖추는 것이 그 무엇보다 시급한 것 같다. 이 시점에서 인문학이 갖추어야 할 덕목은 아무래도 ‘소통’이 아닌가 하는 생각도 든다. 인문학이 인간을 다루는 학문인만큼, 인간이 인지하고 경험하는 모든 세계가 인문학의 대상이라면 그것은 또한 기호학의 대상이기도 하기에, 우리의 삶이 변하는 것처럼 기호학도 함께 변하면서, 우리로 하여금 삶을 통찰할 수 있는 도구를 그때그때 제공해 주기에 기호학은 인간이 만들어낸 가장 가까운 친구하고 할 수 있다. 이 시대 인문학이 기호학을 말해야 하는 이유도 거기에 있다고 믿는다. 지금까지 자연과학과 인문학에서 추구하는 진리의 방법이나 성격이 전혀 다른 것으로 생각했던 우리에게 이처럼 새로운 기호학은 신선한 충격을 주기도 하는데 이것 역시 매우 실험적인 분야여서 앞으로 전개될 미래의 기호학의 영역이 될 수 있으리라 믿는다. 이처럼 기호학은 경계를 넘는 사유를 보여주는 학문인만큼, 그것이 다룰 수 있는 영역도 무한정이다. 이 논고의 제 2장에서 먼저 메타 학문으로서의 기호학이 무엇인지 다룰 것이고, 제 3장에서는 기호와 커뮤니케이션, 제 4장에서는 구조적 코드에 있어서 1) 유표성과 무표성, 2) 선택과 결합, 3) 은유와 환유 대해서 언급할 것이다.

We believe that this new semioticism can give a fresh impression to us who thought that the method and nature of truth pursued in natural science and humanities are totally different, and this is also a very experimental field and I believe that this area of future semiotics will be developed in the future . As such, semiotics is a discipline that shows reasons beyond boundaries, so the area it can deal with is also infinite.
