- Abstract
- This study attempts to analyse correlations between changes of BMD(Bone Mineral Density) for two years, and The Self-assessment Activities, Physical Self-description and Life Pattern of dance-major female college students(N=46). The affecting factors on the BMD was classified into personal factors including the amount of Practice, Physical Fitness, Body Satisfaction, Diet Experience, Frequency of meal/day and were used for the data. There were significant loss differences showed on BMD(p<.05). According to the result of the conjoint anaysis, among Relative importance of factors, the most influencial factor in BMD was Fraquency meal/day followed by Self-assessment Physique(25.92%), Physical Fitness(22.93%), Diet Experience(20.17%), Practice(16.92%) and Body Satisfaction(14.87%). With the conclusion from the study, it is expected to bring positive effects that female dancers in university establish their positive self-physical images through education for weight control. Along with that, developing the program to reinforce their physical strength by increasing activities for the individual dancer should help them to have the good bone density.
