Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide the information for sustainable development of squash through the relation analysis of motivation, attitude, value, satisfaction and maintenance for revitalizing squash. The subjects in this study were 286 participants of squash who were selected by convenience sampling from the population of 6 squash clubs in the region of Seoul and Gyeonggi. SPSS Ver. 20.0 was used for statistical analysis, followed by frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. From these research methods and analyses were derived results as follows. First, participation motivation had a partially significant impact on attitude. Second, participation motivation had a partially significant impact on value, satisfaction and maintenance. Third, attitude had a partially significant impact on maintenance. Fourth, value, satisfaction had a significant impact on maintenance. In this study, the squash participants decide on participation for the purposes of pleasure, skill acquisition, mental and physical health and social intercourse. In addition, the participants form an attitude, value and satisfaction by evaluating on whether they have fully achieved their purposes. They then reflect the result of this evaluation in their decision on whether they continue their behavior.
