Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out hierarchical order to nurture outdoor sports instructors. Demand for participation in outdoor sports has been expanded in Korea since five-day working policy began in 2004. Instructors in sport settings are important because they take part not just in skill and knowledge delivery but also in safety management and learner's motivation. Then, delphi was done with 8 experts. Lastly, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was followed with other 3 0 experts. Results of the study is as follows: Competence for Safety Management is placed at the top with the weight of .355, competence for Cognitive Management follows with the weight of .354, competence for Skill/Education is placed at third with the weight of .222, and competence for Socialization is placed at the bottom with the weight of .069.
