Z세대를 위한 동기부여형 대학 교육의 방향

Abstract

대학은 변화하는 시대적 요구에 맞추어 교육적 기능과 역할에 충실하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 대학 스스로 변화에 적응하고 더 나은 교육여건을 제공하기 위해서 다양한 시도를 하고 있는데, 시대를 불문하고 대학 교육 현장에서의 가장 큰 고민은 교육효과를 높이는 것이다. 교육의 효과는 다양한 교육 환경적인 요소와 교육 관련 주체들의 다양한 상호작용으로 창출되기 때문에 교육 이해당사자들에 대한 이해가 필수적이다. 현재 교수자들과 학생들은 빠르게 변화하는 시대를 살면서 서로 다른 경험을 축적하게 되었고, 그러면서 삶의 방식이나 가치, 행동 특성 등에서 차이를 갖게 되었다. 이러한 차이는 교육을 제공하는 측면과 교육에 참여하는 측면에서 괴리를 만들어 낼 수 있고 교육효과를 떨어뜨릴 수 있다. 그러기에 본 연구는 이를 최소화하고자 학습 동기에 대한 이론 검토를 토대로 Z세대의 특징을 반영한 동기부여 방안에 대해 제언하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 대학이 더 나은 교육적 성과를 위해 교육과정의 개발과 운영, 교육 방법개선에 있어 아이디어를 얻을 수 있기를 바란다.

Universities are striving to be faithful to their educational functions and roles in line with the changing needs of the times. Universities themselves are making various attempts to adapt to change and provide better educational conditions, and the biggest concern in the field of university education regardless of the times is to increase educational effectiveness. Since the effect of education is created by various educational environmental factors and various interactions of education-related subjects, understanding education stakeholders is essential. Currently, instructors and students have accumulated different experiences while living in a rapidly changing era, and as such, they have differences in lifestyle, values, and behavioral characteristics. This difference can create a gap between the aspect of providing education and participating in education and can reduce the educational effect. Therefore, in order to minimize this, this study attempted to suggest a motivation plan that reflects the characteristics of Generation Z based on a theoretical review of learning motivation. Based on this study, it is hoped that universities will be able to obtain ideas for the development, operation, and improvement of educational methods for better educational performance.
