- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to compare the dietary self-efficacy, eating behavior, and food group intake according to commuting stress of working women. To confirm the results, we conducted a survey of 172 working women in their 20s and 30s who lived in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The collected data were analyzed through frequency analysis, χ2-test, t-test, correlation analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS 28.0 statistical program. The study showed significant differences in dietary self-efficacy and eating behavior. As a result of dietary self-efficacy, the high-stress group had a low dietary self-efficacy. Particularly, they lacked the confidence not to eat while doing TV, smart phone etc, and the confidence to endure food. About eating behavior, the high-stress group ate irregularly and more snacks. However, there were no significant differences in food group intake between two stress groups. As a result of analyzing the correlation between constructs, commuting stress was significantly negative with dietary self-efficacy and eating behavior. In regression analysis, commuting stress had a significant influence on dietary self-efficacy and eating behavior. Considering the above results, it is required to investigate eating habits of working women related to commuting stress in depth. Also, since research about commuting stress is in the initial stage, it is necessary to expand the scope of subjects and prove the relationship between commuting stress and health.
